At last, the much-awaited sequel to last year’s week of debauchery along the stunning Croatian coast. This year, we take on the Ionian Islands of Greece, exploring Corfu and the neighboring paradise islands in the Ionian. It’s going to be an incredible of soaking in sunshine and ouzo while we explore ancient fortresses and dive into blue lagoons.
Turquoise waters, ancient cities, and lifelong friendships await on this fantastic trip that I’ve planned in partnership with TruTravels, one of my favorite group travel companies for the young, fun, and adventurous traveler. We’ll be basking in the Mediterranean sun, taking in the sights of the stunning Ionian Sea, and getting sauced out of our minds every night in Greece’s most poppin’ clubs.
I’m bringing 24 fun and adventurous travelers with me to sail the Mediterranean by day and party it up by night. If you kept up with last year’s wild adventures along Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, you already know what to expect. It’s going to be the craziest weeklong party in the entire Mediterranean, with plenty of adventurous activities squeezed in along the way. We’ll be diving into waters so clear you’d have to see them to believe it. Island hopping, paradise islands, gorgeous villages, and y’all already know I know how to throw a good party. August 15th: WELCOME TO GREECE!
Let’s do this! We’re going sailing, baby! Check in in the afternoon and get settled into your rooms before taking a look around your new home for the next 8 days. If everyone arrives early enough, we will set sail for Kassiopi! Settle in and freshen up before we meet up as a group for our welcome dinner and drinks. Sit back and watch the sun go down with beers in hands and get to know your new travel buddies. The evening is ours to spend as we please, but I can guarantee it’s going to be legendary.
August 16: Sail to Syvota, Snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon
Wake up and pinch yourself because you aren’t dreaming. Welcome to paradise. We set sail to Syvota, a smaller Ionian island renowned for being one of the most beautiful in Greece. We’ll stop for a swim at the famous Blue Lagoon, home to turquoise waters and golden sandy beaches. We dock up around midday and have a little boat party! Music bumping, boat jumping, it’ll be a sick day. We spend the day partying under the glistening sun, kicking back with a cocktail in hand or diving into the sea until you nail that backflip. This is the summer of dreams, baby! In the evening we head out to explore and dance the night away.
August 17: Beach Life and Parga Town!
Oi oi land ahoy! We’re heading to Parga! Although Parga is still part of the mainland, the scenery is that of an island, stunning backdrops, beautiful beaches. The town itself is an Instagrammer’s dream, with no shortage of colorful cobbled streets. We spend the day exploring the town. Explore at your own pace. In the evening we get ready onboard before we head out for dinner and hit up Parga Town for a few drinks!
August 18: Exploring Parga Town and Ancient Fortresses
Have a lazy morning, grab some breakfast as this afternoon we’re walking Parga’s beautiful town. Spend the day exploring the tow. Atop the hill overlooking Parga town lies the ruins of an old Venetian Castle built in the 11th century. We walk the historical walls and learn the importance of these age old ruins to Parga’s rich culture. Plus the views are out of this world. The late afternoon is free to do as you please. If you fancy trying something different we can add in the optional extra of wine tasting, trust us, they’re pretty delicious.
August 19: Hidden Gems on Paxos and Explore Gaios
Today we’re taking the scenic route to Gaios on Paxos Island – the smallest of the Ionian Islands. Gaios port is like a painting come to life. Sit back and watch as we sail into its stunning backdrops. In the day we can either stop at Kipiadi bay or Panagia Island for a swim, both destinations are hidden gems of the Ionian Sea, and you may not see anyone else there! With fewer tourists, the waters are crystal clear, the sand is golden and deserted. If you’re looking to see the real Greece, look no further! We spend the day swimming in warm blue waters before heading back to Gaios port where we dock up for the night. The port is lively, fun and has some of the best cocktails around!
August 20: Sail To Antipaxos, Beach Day, and Home-Cooked Dinner With our Captain
Today we take a short sail across to Antipaxos for some swim stops. We’ll check out Voutoumi (once voted in the top 10 best beaches in Europe) & Vrika beach, with white sand and crystal clear waters. Vrika beach is one of the best for snorkeling, with a small cave to the right. It’s a beauty of a day! Freshen up in the evening as we watch the golden sunset onboard with a beer in hand. How do you wind down a perfect day? Dinner with the captain of course! As we sail back to Paxos where we dock overnight, we’ll spend the evening devouring some delicious home-cooked food onboard whilst sitting out under the stars. Perfection.
August 21: Back to Corfu Town, Farewell Dinner and Party
It’s our last full day together, so we set sail to our final stop – Corfu Town. Nurse your hangover laying out on the deck, grab that last morning of tanning and let the crisp sea air re-energize you after a night of sipping one too many cocktails. Catch some zzz’s or just sit back and chillax before we head into Corfu Town to explore the Spanish Fortress. Picture this, the sun is shining, you’re walking with your best mates as you learn the history of one of Corfu’s biggest attractions. After taking some snaps of these epic views we head back onboard and get ready for one last night together! We’ve got to go out with a bang, right? Dance all night, and after one too many drinks, inevitably get all emotional and tell each other just how much you love them.
August 22: Chilled Checkout and Onward Travel With Your New Travel Pals 🙂
Today is check out day. I know, I know, no one’s ready to leave our boat just yet! But all good things must come to an end. It’s been a wild week together! If you’re traveling on further, I’m sure you’ll have met plenty of new travel buddies to take on Europe and the world with together!
