What’s up guys? The moment I’ve been anxiously awaiting is closer than ever and I am finally hopping onboard the hype train. The past month of being able to relax, catch up with friends, see my family and my dogs has been much needed, but I think my reluctance to go back on the road is finally turning into that clichéd ~~wanderlust.~~
I’ll be starting my trip off in Bangkok after a brutal 24 hours of travel and an even more brutal 12 hour time change. I get into Bangkok at the odd hour of 5 AM, but mentally I’ll be at 5 PM. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right? I don’t actually know what that saying means or where it comes from but I know it probably has something to do with alcohol so I fully support it.
Anyway, this was just a quick update because who knows when the next time I’ll be able to post an actual thoughtful and informative post up on here will be. Again, if anyone has any must-see things to do in South East Asia, leave a comment below! Since my last blog post, I’ve kind of carved out a path through South East Asia that is along the lines of:
Thailand -> Cambodia -> Vietnam -> Laos -> Thailand -> Malaysia -> Singapore -> fly to Philippines then back to Singapore -> Indonesia
If I can somehow fit in Myanmar, Brunei, and some other places, I am going to try. However, since I usually end up spending way more time in each place due to being lost or lazy, I feel like my initial itinerary is already very optimistic. I have three months or more to make this work, but there’s a 50% chance that I also will have somehow not even made it out of Thailand after those three months. I hear those islands can really suck you in.
I also just hit my first hundred followers on this blog so I’m extra hyped about that. I will hopefully be able to keep this updated with pictures and stories and misadventures, but if not, you know I’ll always find some time to post on the ‘gram so follow me there @ThePartyingTraveler.
Catch y’all on the flip side.
