Taking on Emerald Costa Rica With My Emerald JORD Watch

Spring was just rolling in through the United States, and I had agreed to running a spring campaign with JORD for their incredible wooden watches. When I jetted off to Costa Rica, little did I know that I would be headed into the land of endless spring. From endless jungles to vast expanses of rolling hills and glistening emerald lakes, Costa Rica was captivating in every way. It is one of the greenest countries I have ever visited. Leaving the barren winter-stricken midwest, I knew that Costa Rica was one of the world’s most biodiverse countries, but I was not prepared for the reality of it.

Typically, I don’t usually wear anything too flashy while abroad, but with Costa Rica being the safest and most modern country in Central America, I had no qualms about rocking this awesome wooden watch. My JORD watch also felt like it was made to be in Costa Rica, with the wood representing the endless forests and jungles of Costa Rica while the emerald green face captured the essence of life that could only be found in Costa Rica, one of the world’s most biodiverse countries.

A stylish watch usually isn’t at the top of most backpackers’ packing lists, but when I was contacted to partner up with JORD Watches, I knew that I couldn’t pass it up. The hardest part was picking which one I wanted, but ultimately I settled for the Dark Sandalwood and Emerald Watch.

Picking up my JORD Watch was pretty hectic considering I agreed to running a campaign literally on the day that I was leaving. I drove two hours to pick up my watch since it was on the way to the airport I was flying from, before we realized that my friend had forgotten his wallet so we had to drive two miserable hours back. The super awesome JORD representative stayed several hours late to make sure that I got the watch I wanted, and if that isn’t the best customer service anyone could ask for, then I don’t know what is.

If you couldn’t already tell, having a steady itinerary while traveling isn’t exactly my strong point. This made me wonder how hard it would be for me to integrate a watch into some of my pictures, especially as a non-fashion blogger. Let me tell ya, with JORD, it has never been easier. The emerald face of the watch felt like it could belong in any picture I took with it in Costa Rica, basically the greenest country ever.

See what I mean? The lush jungles and forests made me feel like I was in another world, like probably Jurassic Park or something. Even if I was in some prehistoric age, the dark wood and emerald face of the watch would have still fit in with my surroundings. While JORD does have a wide variety of watches, I felt this one fit most with my vibe as I trotted across the globe. It was a gorgeous watch, but still appeared to be something that a hardened backpacker would wear.

So yeah, I’m doing a pretty awesome giveaway that will run until April 30th! If you are a fan of any of the watches that JORD sells (which I guarantee you will), you have the opportunity to win $100 off a watch of your choice! All you have to do is enter the giveaway here and it literally takes only a few seconds to submit your entry.

Oh, and even if you don’t win once April 30th rolls around, you will still be guaranteed to get $25 off of your purchase. So literally, what reason do you have not to enter the giveaway?

If you do, you can also take hella artsy pics in front of the ocean with your watch.
