Yellowstone National Park Is Totally A Different Planet

For those of you who haven’t been to Yellowstone, it is one of the most incredible, but confusing, places I have ever visited. I stopped by Yellowstone on the closing stretch of my road trip where I hit a lot of National Parks on the west coast. I figured by now, Yellowstone couldn’t possibly blow my mind since hey, I’ve already seen a bunch of cool stuff. It felt like I’ve seen all this Earth has to offer (not really, obviously) but Yellowstone hit me with the plot twist and took me to an entirely different planet. From sizzling ground fountains that shoot hundreds of feet into the air to rainbow colored ground bacteria, to bubbly Martian pudding, I got to see a lot of weird stuff that I wouldn’t have believed existed. A picture’s worth a thousand words, so here’s some of my favorite mind-blowing pictures that I took at Yellowstone.

Honestly, Old Faithful was one of the less cool things about Yellowstone, and that’s saying something.
